Kangaroo and Emu in the dunes.
Profusion of bird life, bird calls.
Rugged plants making a living in the hard rock.
Surging waves eating away at the coastline.
Tranquil bays.
Truly stunning.
From Pondalowie we drove further into the park, stopping to explore every beach, that is my motto afterall!.
Every beach had its own characteristics and beauty.
I know it is only Day 1, but even so I am still very happy with setup of the Landy.
Pondalowie surf break was about a 500 meter walk through the dunes from the carpark and although there was surf, there was also enough wind and surfers on the water that I chose to explore rather than surf.
One of the highlights for me was Browns Bay, as you will see below, the scenery is stunning. I enjoyed exploring this beach, snorkeling/swimming the lagoon and generally hanging out here. Highly recommended.
I think that video about says it all, and explains why I have not been doing any 'posting'....
Campsite: Casuarina. I highly recommend camp site number 7
One of the reasons for recommending our campsite number, was not only the shelter and privacy, but also the surprise neighbour who seems to base himself under the nearby tree. Check him out in the video below.
Began with sunrise, this sunset a great way to close Day One.
