I will create a proper post about this fabulous journey once complete, at the time of writing this I am about half way across the Savannah Way and could not resist sharing some of the images with you here.
I am driving it East to West and for much of the journey (14 days so far).
Its hot out here travelling this late in the dry season, 41 degrees (C) today, but only 70% humidity, so not too bad!
So far I have spent $1000 I was not expecting to:
$240 getting air con test/refill and
....what I thought was my brakes failing was actually my right front wheel bearing failing - had that replaced $650.
Good catch to get that before it got too critical in the middle of nowhere on a stinking hot day!
Aside from that I am monitoring the engine temperature as with outside temp of 40 degrees Lulu's little engine can heat up a little more than normal if I push her, so taking it easy and all going well
Roads are super quiet this late in the 'season' but those travellers I meet are super friendly. Many national parks have begun to close some trails for the 'season' but there is still a lot to see. Lots of water holes still ideal to swim in, yah for me.
