Filthy, messy goupy day

With the past 2 days being a lot cooler (high 20s and early 30s) I was actually able to get out and do things on my vehicle.. yah

Today was a full-on day in which I attempted to lift up the floor panels, brush on goupy-sticky-icky-thick black sound deadening (enough adjectives ?) while at the same time inspecting the chassis for rust.

This shows my gloves after I cleaned most the goop off!

Some of the screws/bolts holding floor panels in place took quite a bit of time & effort to remove.

However the combination of spraying them WD40, and allowing it to soak in for an hour or so then my homemade impact driver (smashing them with a hammer) and yipee.. the screws/bolts came undone.

I'm really pleased that I found only some minor surface rust in a few typical problematic areas, nothing to cause me any worries.

What's amazes me is how much exercise this work on the vehicle is!

For the last 3 years I've been working in an office and despite my best efforts (working at a standing desk, going up the stairs a few times a day) nothing compares to the activity level that I'm using right now working on my vehicle.

Before I flew to Aussie I was imagining myself doing 'abs', push-ups and stretches everyday to try and get fit...

However the work I'm doing on the vehicle is a full-on workout is it is and I haven't had the energy on determination to do anything else.

I keep telling myself I will do some 'tomorrow' ... but well.. really!!??!!
