Uluru & Kata Tjuta... magnificence

After 5 weeks of driving down stony sandy-bumpy-dusty-dirt tracks I am enjoying stopping to take time to view the magnificence of these amazing red rocks.

Being up close to these rocks is indescribably powerful.

I will let the pictures below and the little video at the end of this blog post tell the story of my time here.

There was plenty of plant life and wildlife in and around Kata Tjuta, the Valley of the Winds walk is so worth doing!

Getting there

From Dalhousie Springs I drove in convoy with fellow traveler John through Mt Dare & up to Finke.

I then went on to visit the geodesic centre of Aussie.

YES - the very centre of Aussie.

Nice quiet camping spot at the very centre of Aussie.

Enjoyed meeting Kev, Sally & their dog while staying there.

Would you like to cycle around Uluru at sunset?

I hope this little video imparts to you the sense of wonder and magnificence of these rocks... You might even feel like you are actually cycling around Uluru at sunset with me...

ENJOY.
