One of the benefits (and my purpose) to stopping in one spot for a few weeks while working/earning income is the ability to enjoy the having a postal address.
Many of the items I have wanted to buy for sometime have a delivery time of 2-3 weeks, which means I was not able to buy them while actively travelling from one location to the next every day or so.
Having a fixed address for a few weeks may sound like a little thing but is in fact incredibly useful!
Cracked computer screen
The screen on my laptop cracked in an accident back in NZ; repair required it to be sent to Australia, so of course I waited till I was here in Aussie. But even being in Aussie required the laptop to be sent away for repair (no dropping it into shop) with a turn-around time of 2-3 weeks.
Going without my computer for that long was never going to be easy!! I hope to have it back from repair this week (fingers crossed).
New drinking water tank for Landy camper
I looked in all the camping shops all the way up the country but was unable to find a water tank to fit my requirements in stock. However I found one online that was the perfect size, delivery time of 2 weeks. The tank is now installed and working perfectly in Lulu the Landy.
Monsoon/weather shields
Monsoon shields have been on my wish-list for the Landy for sometime. Once again there were an online purchase.
Super easy to install.
Air-plants:
Indoor plants are one of the things I miss about living in a ‘house’.
I have kept air-plants successfully in my camper in NZ and hope to be able to do the same here. Once again I was not able to find any in plant shops, but found a supplier online.
They arrived today and I am looking forward to their beauty gracing my vehicle, making it feel a little more like a ‘home’.
